YOUR FIRST VISIT
Sunday mornings at Calvary Baptist Church are carefully designed to be a welcome place for both you, and your family, to come and worship with us regardless of your age or past religious experience. Our homes and places of work can regularly become a source of much unnecessary hurt and unwanted stress, and we would like to extend a warm invitation for you to come and join with us each week to be personally refreshed, and reminded of Jesus Christ's deep love for you.
Due to increased and sustained attendance, we will begin a 'two service' format. These new service times will be at 9 am and 11 am, with a 45 min. space for fellowship and change over in between. The content of the services will be identical. Nursery and 2s/3s will run in both services. There will be a large group Sunday School program in the first service and traditional Sunday School classes in the second service for our children aged JK-Grade 6.
Complimentary coffee and refreshments are served in the main foyer beginning at 8:30 am, and prior to the beginning of the morning's worship service, parents are invited to drop off their infants at our nursery, and their toddlers at our 2s and 3s room, where their children will be cared for, and supervised, for the duration of the morning. Children in JK thru Gr. 6 start the morning together with their parents, participating in our Worship Service, located in the sanctuary. Children will stay with their parents until they are dismissed from the service to their classes. (JK/SK; Gr. 1 & 2; Gr. 3 & 4, and Gr. 5 & 6) where our children will be taught fun, age-appropriate lessons, and possibly even enjoy creating a special craft with their classmates.
Students in Grade 7 and above are invited to join the rest of our church family for community worship in the auditorium. God has certainly blessed us with a great number of talented musicians who faithfully lead us in a time of heartfelt worship and praise, involving both contemporary choruses and familiar hymns. And once we've spent some time lifting our voices together in praise, it is our hopeful desire that our collective hearts would be properly prepared to suitably turn our attention towards the Bible, as one of our pastors will walk us through a passage of scripture to uncover the deep truths and insightful wisdom that God has preserved for us within His Word. As the morning concludes, we hope that you will feel even closer to the Lord than you had earlier in the day, personally possessing a stronger sense of God's strength, mercy, and compassionate grace - - ready to face the week ahead with a greater confidence that you are deeply loved by a God who cares.
If this sounds like something that might appeal to you, please plan to come and visit with us. We would love to share our morning with you!
